Ingredients
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
1 ripe banana (can be frozen too)
1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 cup cucumber
1 tablespoon chia seeds
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk of your choice or yogurt)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
A few ice cubes (optional for a colder smoothie)
Directions
- Prepare Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients. If you prefer a colder smoothie, make sure your banana and pineapple chunks are frozen.
- Blend Greens: Begin by blending the spinach leaves, mint, and almond milk together. This ensures that the greens are thoroughly blended and there are no leafy chunks in your smoothie.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the avocado, banana, pineapple, cucumber, chia seeds, and lemon juice to the blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high until everything is completely smooth. If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into a glass, garnish with a mint leaf if desired, and enjoy immediately!
